OOPPTTIIOONNSS --hh Displays a short usage description, including all available options. --cc Checks the config file and displays the aliases and listen interface list. --rr Uses dns to check if it is necessary to add a "received=" field to a via. --RR Same as --rr but uses reverse dns. --vv Turns on via host checking when forwarding replies. --dd Turns on debugging, multiple --dd increase the debug level. --DD Runs ser in the foreground (it doesn't fork into daemon mode). --EE Sends all the log messages to stderr. --TT Disables TCP support. --VV Displays the version number. --ff _c_o_n_f_i_g_-_f_i_l_e Reads the configuration from ccoonnffiigg--ffiillee (default _/_e_t_c_/_s_e_r_/_s_e_r_._c_f_g ). --ll _a_d_d_r_e_s_s Listens on the specified address/interface. Multiple --ll mean listening on multiple addresses. The address format is [proto:]address[:port], where proto = udp|tcp and address = host|ip_address|interface_name. Example: -l localhost, -l udp:127.0.0.1:5080, -l eth0:5062. The default behaviour is to listen on all the ipv4 interfaces. --nn _p_r_o_c_e_s_s_e_s_-_n_o Specifies the number of children processes forked per interface (default 8). --NN _t_c_p _p_r_o_c_e_s_s_e_s_-_n_o Specifies the number of children processes forked to handle tcp incoming connections (by default is equal to --nn ). --bb _m_a_x___r_c_v___b_u_f___s_i_z_e Maximum receive buffer size which will not be exceeded by the auto-probing procedure even if the OS allows. --mm _s_h_a_r_e_d___m_e_m___s_i_z_e Size of the shared memory which will be allocated (in Megabytes). --ww _w_o_r_k_i_n_g_-_d_i_r Specifies the working directory. In the very improbable event that sseerr will crash, the core file will be generated here. --tt _c_h_r_o_o_t_-_d_i_r Forces sseerr to chroot after reading the config file. --uu _u_i_d Changes the user id under which sseerr runs. --gg _g_i_d Changes the group id under which sseerr runs. --PP _p_i_d_-_f_i_l_e Creates a file containing the pid of the main sseerr process. --ii _f_i_f_o_-_p_a_t_h Creates a fifo, usefull for monitoring sseerr status. --xx _s_o_c_k_e_t_-_p_a_t_h Creates a unix socket, usefull for monitoring sseerr status ( same as --ii _f_i_f_o_-_p_a_t_h but using instead unix sockets).
